Our Holidays

I made our stockings this year out of thrifted sweaters and left over leather for the loop to hang them.
cookies and milk for santa
I got this when Jude was a baby. It's still one of my favorites.
Jett's many faces are oh so adorable to me
Jude is so incredibly sweet and was so appreciative of all of his presents.
He's a remarkable big brother.
And this young man....stop growing!
I'm convinced Jett's going to be a chef of some sort. And a damn good one.

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday season this year. From Thanksgiving to New Years, all have been my favorite to date.

The kids woke up very early for presents on Christmas morning. Our rule is stockings and Santa's gift only, until everyone is up and ready to open presents. Santa leaves his gift, usually one big one, unwrapped and by each kids stocking. Jude got a DS, Jett a firetruck, and Oliver got Sophie the giraffe. Jett was tired and in love with all of the candy.
Jude was so sweet and wanted to share or give away all of his presents.
He reminds me of Meme so much in this way. His happiness really does come from sharing his things and making sure everyone else is happy.
Oliver was very sleepy. Just like his mommy. Santa duty went a little later than I had anticipated.
After opening presents I immediately went back to bed with Oliver and Jordan stayed up with the kids. I don't know how he does it. But every day he is able to function and function well, on such little sleep.

Our New Years Eve was honestly one of my favorites. We went to dinner and came home and slipped into our pj's and watched black and white movies with champagne. We've been nursing a little cold between the two of us and weren't feeling quite up for parties this year. It was a cold, grey day outside and it felt wonderful to be well fed and warm next to the love of my life.
No better way to bring in the new year.
And it's gonna be a good one!
